Forged Superlite Internal

The Superlite caliper series sets the standard in short track, late model, modified, and open wheel competition, while also being suitable for various road-race, off-road, rally, and sport driving applications. The new FSLI model series features a redesign with internal fluid ports, eliminating external fluid cross-over tubes and potential issues from damage. The transfer tube has been replaced with two additional bleed screw assemblies, allowing symmetrical piston bore models to be mounted in either right or left leading or trailing positions.

The standout feature of this caliper design is the forging process. Each body is stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum alloy billets, which realigns the metal's internal grain structure to flow with the contour of the caliper body. This method eliminates stresses and interruptions that occur when machining a straight block billet, resulting in a stronger aluminum caliper body.

The FSL body design utilizes advanced computer-generated solid modeling and stress analysis technology. Each caliper includes closed end bridges with a radial transition to the piston body housings, enhancing overall body strength and resistance to deflection under load. Center bridge bolts replace cotter pins for added support and quick access with positive brake pad retention. Testing has demonstrated superior strength and efficiency, leading to improved stopping power with reduced pedal travel.
