BMW M57N / M57N2 / N57 Reinforced Clutch Set – Stage 3

Reinforced clutch set for BMW M57N, M57N2 and N57 engines with the BMW GS6-53DZ 6-speed gearbox (HGA, HGD, HGU, HGK, JGA, JGG, JGL and other codes). Direct plug-and-play installation on the original dual-mass flywheel.

Key components

• Sachs Performance clutch pressure plate (883082001243); clutch pedal effort is approximately 25% higher than stock
• 6-puck sintered clutch disc with MIBA sinter pads
• Pressure plate mounting bolts and release bearing included

Installation notes

• For proper operation, use a new flywheel or grind the friction surface of the existing dual-mass flywheel (max. 0.1 mm from nominal; more may reduce clamping force)
• Break-in required: 5,000–6,000 gear changes before heavy load

Performance

• Potential torque capacity: 800–900 Nm (depends on boost map aggressiveness, usage, and tire traction)
• Sintered disc engagement is abrupt compared with an organic disc (closer to an on/off feel rather than a progressive take-up)
• Stage 2 vs Stage 3 differs by clutch disc; a 6-puck disc engages more smoothly than a 4-puck disc, with similar torque capability
