BMW M57N / M57N2 / N57 Reinforced Clutch Set – Stage 2

Reinforced clutch set for BMW M57N, M57N2, and N57 engines paired with the BMW GS6-53DZ 6-speed gearbox (HGA, HGD, HGU, HGK, JGA, JGG, JGL and other codes). Designed for direct plug-and-play installation on the original dual-mass flywheel.

Key Components

• Sachs Performance pressure plate (883082001243) – clutch pedal effort approx. 25% higher than the original pressure plate
• 4-puck sintered clutch disc with MIBA sinter pads
• Pressure plate mounting bolts and release bearing included

Fitment & Installation Notes

• Requires a new flywheel, or resurfacing/grinding of the existing dual-mass flywheel friction surface
• Maximum material removal: up to 0.1 mm from nominal (more may reduce clamping force)
• Break-in required: 5,000–6,000 gear changes before heavy load

Torque Capability

Potential 800–900 Nm depending on boost map aggressiveness, driving style, and tire traction.

Drivability Note

Due to the sintered disc, smooth take-off is limited. Engagement is more “on/off” (0–1) compared with an organic disc’s more progressive feel. A milder 6-puck alternative is mentioned as available in another listing.
