The DEI Black Glass Fiber Exhaust Wrap is engineered to reduce under hood temperatures by up to 50%, resulting in a cooler air charge and improved engine performance. By retaining more heat within the exhaust system, this wrap helps decrease exhaust gas density and increase exhaust flow, which can contribute to horsepower gains.

For optimal installation, use Design Engineering Stainless Steel Locking Ties. Application of Design Engineering HT Silicone Coating spray is highly recommended to penetrate, seal, protect, and prolong the lifespan of the wrap.

Notes:

• Do not wrap catalytic converters, as overheating can reduce their lifespan. Consider using a dedicated heat shield instead.
• Once heat-cycled, the wrap should not be moved or removed, as flexibility is lost but thermal properties remain unaffected. Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints.
• Not recommended for titanium exhaust systems, as excessive heat retention can cause brittleness and premature cracking. Use flexible heat shields for titanium applications.
