Notes & Fitment Considerations
- Catalytic converters: Not recommended to wrap, as overheating can reduce converter life. Use a shield instead.
- Removal: Not designed to be moved or removed after heat cycling. Fibers lose initial flexibility, though thermal properties are not reduced. Avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints.
- Titanium exhaust systems: Not recommended. Wrapping can retain too much heat, making titanium alloys brittle and prone to premature cracking. Consider flexible heat shields instead.
- Color fade: Black wrap may fade with time and high-heat use (such as racing and turbo manifolds) to the original tan color. It can be coated with high-temp silicone coating spray for a longer-lasting black finish.
- High-temp silicone coating spray is highly recommended to penetrate, seal, protect, and prolong wrap lifespan.
