Autobalm

Auto-balm is a non-abrasive protective paste designed to add gloss and protection to automotive paintwork, bodywork, chrome, and other metal surfaces. Developed and tested over thousands of hours, it uses synthesized corrosion-inhibiting molecules that bond together into an ultra-thin, high-gloss film. The film seals capillary pores in paintwork and forms an anti-corrosion barrier, helping protect both sound paint and vulnerable areas such as stone chips and other damaged sites.

It is also suitable for chrome, aluminium, and alloys. If paintwork is faded, rough, or has been neglected for a long period, a cleanser-polish and/or auto-clay is recommended before application.

How to use

1. Wash thoroughly (hot soapy water; use salt-free automotive shampoo). Do not use wash-and-wax products. Dry with chamois or synthetic equivalent.
2. If paint is faded, rough, or hasn’t been polished for a long period, use cleanser-polish and/or auto-clay first.
3. Dampen the supplied applicator pad under cold running water and wring out until it feels damp (no visible water droplets). Touch the paste lightly to transfer a very small amount.
4. Apply sparingly with the pad kept flat, working small areas (2–3 ft square). Use circular motion; apply only to cool panels and avoid direct sunlight.
5. Wait a few moments, then buff to a high, uniform shine. On poor paint, uniformity may improve with repeat applications as pores fill.
6. Keep the applicator pad clean (wash with vehicle shampoo if needed, rinse, squeeze to damp). Turn the buffing cloth frequently. A damp pad is not necessary when applying to metals.

Swirl/cobweb reduction technique: For the finest finish, apply using light straight forward-and-back strokes. Use front-to-back on top panels and up-and-down on side panels. Heavy rubbing is not necessary.
