Using a clay bar is essential for assessing and removing embedded metallic and brake dust particles from your paint. By gently rubbing the surface with your fingertips, you can detect any grittiness caused by these contaminants. With Auto Clay, you can effortlessly eliminate these particles, leaving your paint glass-smooth while also lifting discolored road film. The process is enhanced with ample lubrication, allowing the bar to glide smoothly across the surface.

Before using a clay bar, it is recommended to pre-treat the paint with a high-activity cleaner to remove embedded metallic particles. This step ensures the clay bar lasts longer and focuses on remaining contaminants.

How to use:

1. Thoroughly wash your car to remove loose dirt. Work in a shaded, cool area.
2. Spray water on a small area of your car and rub the clay bar back and forth with light pressure, ensuring the surface remains wet. The bar should glide smoothly, and you will initially hear it pulling particles away from the paint.
3. After a few passes, check the area with your fingers to feel for any remaining contamination. Wipe off the clay residue with a soft terrycloth towel.
4. You should see a reddish-brown residue on the clay bar, indicating successful removal of contaminants. If the bar becomes soiled, fold and reshape it. Do not use the bar if it has been dropped. The clay bar is effective for approximately 4 to 5 uses on an average-sized car. Wax your car immediately after claying.

Quick Guide:

• Run your fingers over your freshly washed paintwork to check for a rough texture caused by embedded particles.
• If contamination is felt, mist a small area with clean water.
• Glide the clay bar over the wet surface, ensuring proper lubrication.
• Listen for initial noise as the bar removes contamination, which will diminish as you continue.
• Check again with your fingertips to confirm all contamination is removed.
• Once the paint is smooth, apply a sealant or wax to enhance shine.
