PTFE is the ultimate chemically inert hose material, offering exceptional resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including alcohol fuels such as methanol, ethanol, E85, and leaded fuels like race gas. It is suitable for various applications, including brake, transmission, clutch, power steering, and coolant systems. PTFE hose features nearly zero permeation and does not emit vapors like rubber fuel hoses, making it safe for use in confined spaces such as vehicle trunks or small garages.
All PTFE hoses have been tested in-house to withstand pressures of 1200 psi, with a typical tolerance of over 2500 psi. They are designed for extreme temperature ranges, from -94°F to +480°F. The construction includes an extruded PTFE core wrapped in a stainless steel wire braided sleeve, with a braided PET outer coating for universal DIY ends. Hose ends are made from type-II black anodized aluminum.
PTFE Hose Ends
These hose ends are specifically designed for PTFE hose and are not compatible with rubber hoses. Each fitting is machined from aluminum and anodized black, featuring internal O-rings that allow for swiveling.
