We present our Short Shifter. It fits mainly the BMW E30, E36, E46, but can be used for swaps for other bodies with BMW gearboxes. The base diameter is 114mm and the diameter of the selector pin is 10mm.
Made of PA6 aluminum with the use of CNC machines, with attention to dimensional repeatability and the obtained surface. The entire structure is protected against oxidation by the cataphoresis process. It is a varnish coat applied using the phenomenon of electrophoresis.
The stroke of the jack is short and reliable, additionally it can be adjusted using the bottom link.
The lever works on a spherical bearing, and the selector is connected to the Shifter via a bronze bushing.
No modification to the body is required.
The assembly of the unit is very simple, but requires safe lifting of the vehicle, details can be found in the instructions attached to the Shifter.
Due to the use of aluminum, the weight fluctuates around 1.5 kg.
