PTFE is the ultimate chemically inert hose material, offering exceptional resistance to chemicals, including alcohol fuels like methanol, ethanol, E85, and leaded fuels such as race gas. It is suitable for brake, transmission, clutch, power steering, and coolant applications. PTFE hose features minimal permeation and does not emit vapors like rubber fuel hoses, making it safe for use in confined spaces such as a vehicle’s trunk or small garage.
All PTFE hoses have been tested in-house to 1200psi, with a typical tolerance of 2500psi+. They can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -94°F to +480°F. The construction includes an extruded PTFE (fluoropolymer) core wrapped in a stainless steel wire braided sleeve, with a braided PET outer coating for universal DIY ends. All hose ends are made from type-II black anodized aluminum.
PTFE Hose Ends
These hose ends are specifically designed for PTFE hose and are not compatible with rubber hose. Each fitting is machined from aluminum and anodized black, featuring internal O-rings that allow for swiveling.
