Thermostat Blanking Plug for BMW M3 E36 & E46 In intensive use the OEM oil cooling system of the M3 E36 & E46 often can't handle the stress put on it. Before swapping for a bigger radiator with a complex installation it is possible to simply remove the stock thermostat to decrease operating temperature from 5 to 10°C. This blanking plug that we offer is made from aluminium and is to be installed in place of the stock thermostat. It allows oil to circulate right from ignition to limit the increase in temperature. For a clean and tidy installation all required gaskets are included coming straight from BMW for the best reliability available (OEM par numbers : 1 x 11421719855 + 2 x 17222245358).
